Python 2.7 for iOS App Reviews

a good way to rediscover python and to discover the iphone internals.

It´s a great app but since the update i have many crashes on my iPhone 4. It works fine on my iPad

This is a revision to my earlier review. I deleted the version I had downloaded which was, as described below, completely unstable. I re-downloaded the app and hey presto, it works, so far very well with the simple scripts I have created. I have no idea why the earlier download didnt work - I have never had such a problem with app downloads before. My current rating is therefore a provisional four star (nothing is perfect after all). The previous version was fine. But this version is completely unstable. For example, if you try to start a script with certain words (eg for) the app closes. Likewise if you try and paste a script. Something fairly basic is wrong in this version. If an update works properly I will be back to write a good review.

What a pity. This is Python 2, not Python 3...

App misses important libs like numpy, scipy, pandas. There isnt much to do without them.

Awesome app! Better on each release.

I have just updated to the latest version and now, instead of crashing when moving to the editor, it instantly crashes on open. I think that your update process is not working, you must rethink it.

Python usable on iphone, great! What is missing (at least from my point of view)? A list of modules included (and working). Example: "import turtle" starts and is stopped with error message about missing tkinter.

an update to python 3.2 would be important!

This is a very nice app and quite a joy to use. I use it mostly as a powerful calculator. It would be great if this app would support installing modules via PIP. Dropbox integration would be very useful, too.

This version did not work under iOS 5.1.1 I delete the old version and reinstall the new version, but it doesent work.

I would not recommend to use or buy the software. My first steps with it were demotivating - and I am a python lover. The last update suggests that the owner will not actively look at the bugs.

Nice idea, but as the title suggest it contains major bugs that make it crash - useless!

It works amazingly and the setup of everything is beautiful. With the latest update it is really worth buying. Recommend it all the way.

Its great. Ive been waiting for this app for long. Hopefully, modules io and urllib will load in next update though...

When I got my 4S I didnt want to download any games. Ive finally find what I can play with all day long! /nerdgasm!!
